What, if any, additional commitments will be expected of theRes.Collegestudents?
TheResidentialCollegewill be a new type of student residence for the Missouri S&T campus. Most of the policies, activities and programs it offers to residents will be similar to those now offered in T.J. or in the Quad.

However, theRes.Collegewill also offer moreopportunities for students to interact with campus faculty and staff on a level different than those in any other community. Further, students will be exposed to external programs and guests in various fields of interest.

The expected time commitment of students will average about 1 to 2 hours per week. The amount of personal commitment would be comparable to that made by many other residents who are involved in our residential communities.

For students who enjoy campus living, the Residential College will have the same social and recreation opportunities as those in the Missouri S&T residence halls. In addition, the residential college lets students receive credit for experiencing the learning opportunities provided by their residential community. Living in theResidentialCollegeis not supposed to be a burdensome experience. Rather, Missouri S&T intends for it to be fulfilling as well as enjoyable.
